Berlin Festival: Round Up The Line-Up & Win 1×2 Tickets!

Only a month to go til the Berlin Festival opens its doors at the Tempelhofer Airport, and I’m ever so excited. I count most of the acts announced to my favorites of the past years, so I want to take a moment to dedicate this post to them.

James Blake — I’ve seen James Blake live, presenting his debut album, in a gig at Berghain. It was an expensive gig to say the least, but totally worth it. His beyond-genre soul and dubstep mix has hyped him up and down the internets and made him a very-welcome artist in Berlin. One of my personal headliners of the year!

Hercules and Love Affair — Hercules are a Berlin institution. They’re the definition of our party scene: house and vocals cleverly combined, dressed in glitter and confetti. I dare you not to dance when these guys deliver their amazing sets, and I dare you not to be impressed when they make the world shake with their tremendous voices.

Diplo - this guy is my personal rockstar for the past two or three years. Everything he touches is instant-gold — from M.I.A. to Chris Brown, let alone his own releases — House, Hip Hop and Rio Baile Funk resulting in one massive dance party. He had a gig-gone-wrong (due to the rain, of course) a couple of weeks ago for a Fashion Week party, and if he delivers the same at Berlin Festival, then this is going to be my favorite act to talk about for the weeks to come.

Mount Kimbie — What to say? With their minimalistic, dark and atmospheric dubstep-vibes they’ve been pretty much included in every electronic mix from here to the Boiler Room. I haven’t seen them play live yet so I hope my expectations will be met.

Oh Land — Oh Land does what the Swedish do best: sweet pop music with a twist. Her show a couple of months ago at Privatclub was small and intimate, but that was perfect: the blonde beauty that calls herself Oh Land had the attention of every person in the audience. I love this kind of pop music that stays fresh and funky without coming off as over-produced bubble-gum stuff. Which might be the difference between Swedish and US music in a nutshell..

So, this was my personal round up. Now YOU have the chance to win tickets to see this extraordinary line up. All you need to do is head over to our partners FindingBerlin-Tours Facebook Page, answer the question on the wall (“What’s your favorite place in Berlin and why?”) and get a chance to win 1×2 ticketsMove over here, the winners will be announced next Wednesday on Facebook!
