Cre­at­ive New Media - Meet & Eat is the name of a new net­work­ing and social­iz­ing event here in Ber­lin. Maria and Julia of fant­astic Art­con­nect Ber­lin have decided to bring together all those blog­gers in the city to spend an even­ing together. In the warm atmo­sphere of the cozy Agora café down in Neuk­ölln we had a won­der­ful time together, talk­ing, drink­ing, eat­ing and listen­ing to some awe­some music.

This event was a kick-off, sort of a test for a series of Cre­at­ive New Media events that we want to do every sea­son. I think I can speak for every­one if I say that the Winter Edi­tion of our newly birthed tra­di­tion was a suc­cess. Every­one got to know each other and share their exper­i­ences. We had many dis­cus­sions in the begin­ning… that is, until every­one got so drunk, everything went from inter­est­ing to hil­ari­ous, excit­ing and wonderful.

That won­der­ful time wouldn’t have been as good without all the people who sup­por­ted our idea. Let me first say thank you to Apaltagua. They served the wine that was prob­ably respons­ible for the jam­ming ses­sions that were spon­tan­eously pulled off. The musi­cians in ques­tion (who are now con­tem­plat­ing col­lab­or­at­ing in the future!) were amaz­ing Sim­monne Jones from LA (she made us clap on the off beat!), Bene­dict Bind­en­wald, Dylan Aiello, Ser­aphin Donato, Jesse Braver­man and Maria. The only reason why about twentythou­sand liters of wine didn’t des­troy us all was owed to the fact that we were served some qual­ity food by the guys from the Sup­per Club, which was then dec­or­ated by Ruby Pester (who is a Food Artist)– how great was that, huh? Spe­cial thanks also to the spon­sors from around the ‘hood, Bolu Super­mar­kets and Hao Cai Lei Asian Supermarkets.

I wish my pic­tures had turned out any good, but the Agora space is neces­sar­ily dark to provide some cozi­ness… but I tried any­way, and I really hope to meet all of you again. Big kisses to Amy&Pink, This Is Jane Wayne and Art­con­nect Ber­lin who made all of this hap­pen together.
