Fabelhafte Höfe Open Air

Finding an Open Air dancefloor in Berlin ain’t a rocket science. Finding a good Open Air in Berlin — well, that’s an entirely different thing alright. Now, not all tastes are the same, so please beware: the measures of quality are all subject to my personal opinion. I like colorful decoration, boogie house music, nicely dressed up people and confetti cannons. What I don’t like: routine Techno without a climax, shabby soundsystems and drugged up zombies creeping over the dancefloor looking like they could need an ambulance in two or less seconds.

The Fabelwesenguys really know how to work an Open Air that matches my expectations. Last time I was thoroughly stunned by their set-up at the former Stadtbad Tiergarten. This time around they threw their little party in a rather popular backyard in Mitte. If you’ve ever been to Picknick, you’ll surely recognize it. I’d never been there during daytime like this, so it was cool enough to me. I’ll generously get over the fact that the toilets are an absolute massacre. Man you GOTTA do something about that.

Anyway: seeing as these days might be the last days of summer, it was really nice to have another great Open Air in a relaxed atmosphere, with pretty people and prettier music. Hope the Fabelwesen guys will throw in another one for the crowd in the next couple of weeks before it gets too cold and we all have to hide at Berghain for six straight months.
