Although the photographs were taken in immediate nearness to big cities, they seemingly show impalpable places. The eye seeks the known context of society and civilisation, but fails with its attempt. Orientation appears to be desperate. With this insight an unreal world of leaves and branches that extends itself over the edges of the image, is developped. A dense and impervious jungle – a landscape that is situated at our doorsteps but emerges almost extramundane.
