One of the most beautiful historic buildings of Berlin is the Amtsgericht – Justizgericht – Tiergarten in Moabit. Fortunately/unfortunately, not many people have reason to go inside the building. Unless you’re somehow indicted or work the justice system, you’ll hardly see the building from the outside, as impressive as it stands.
Well, too bad! For all I care, this should be a happy place… a library or a museum. Instead it’s being used for what it’s been built back in 1875: a public court building.
However thankfully, it’s still a public building. Anyone interested in architecture or history can step inside and be amazed by the neo baroque icon of the Wilhelmine era.
