The cold is ahead. Without this awareness of winter coming, we couldn’t enjoy these beautiful days of the year like we all did last Sunday. There are certain days of the year with this special atmosphere in the city. Indian Summer is probably the name for it. The first real sunny and warm days in April and the last days of the summer… autumn, actually. Last week was probably the last warm and sunny day of the year and everybody knew this. So people came out of their apartments and caught every single ray of sun outside in the cafes, parks, flea markets and at the Landwehrkanal.

I also enjoyed strolling around my Kiez, listening to music and trying to capture this atmosphere. Let’s keep the warmth and the beautiful colors in our minds when we soon get challenged by the darker part of the year.
